2019 “GUIDO BERLUCCHI FOUNDATION PRIZE”
FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS ATTENDING ONCOLOGY-RELATED SCIENTIFIC EVENTS
The Guido Berlucchi Foundation dedicates the Guido Berlucchi Foundation Best Poster Prize and the Guido Berlucchi Foundation Best Oral Presentation Prize to young researchers attending oncology-related scientific events.
The scientific events are annually selected by the Guido Berlucchi Foundation and may change each year.
“Guido Berlucchi Foundation Best Poster Prize” is to award researchers under 35 of any nationality, for oncology research implemented in an Italian laboratory. Each prize is 500 euros.
“Guido Berlucchi Foundation Best Oral Presentation Prize” is to award researchers under 40 of any nationality, for oncology research implemented in an Italian laboratory. The prize is 500 euros, plus a bonus to be used by the winner for the attendance to a 2020 event of any Scientific Society in the oncology field. The bonus will be paid directly by the Guido Berlucchi Foundation to each winner and will consist of the reimbursement of the registration fee, accommodation and travelling expenses for the event attendance, up to a total maximum of 1.500 euros. Detailed instructions for the use of the bonus will be provided to the winner by the Guido Berlucchi Foundation.
How to Apply
For 2019, the Guido Berlucchi Foundation will award a total of twelve young researchers attending one of the following oncology-related scientific events:
Pre-congress meeting, reserved for post-docs and Ph.D. students who are under 35 years

61st Annual Meeting of the Italian Cancer Society
Naples, 6-8 November 2019
The rules for participation to the prizes, deadlines, selection criteria and selection process are delegated to each of the three mentioned Scientific Societies. For 2019, each Society will award two Guido Berlucchi Foundation Best Poster Prizes and one Guido Berlucchi Foundation Best Oral Presentation Prize.
The prizes will be remitted directly to the winners by a representative of the Guido Berlucchi Foundation, as part of each Society’s event. Each winner must collect the prize in person, otherwise the prize will be cancelled.
